Consorzio RFX is situated about 6 km east of the centre of Padova on the local campus of the Italian National Research Council (Area della ricerca del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - CNR).


Padova is accessible by car from the A4 (Milano-Padova-Venezia) motorway (autostrada) and from the A13 (Bologna-Padova-Venezia).

The main train lines are the Milano-Venezia and Roma-Venezia.
Fast hourly service is provided during the day to Milano (2.5 hours) and Roma (4 to 5 hours).

The closest airport to Padova is Venice Marco Polo International Airport (VCE).
To get to Padova you can then use special taxi service:

A bus service from Airport to Padova centre stops just at the exit of the airport. The name of the bus company is SITA.


From Venice Airport to Padova:
Monday to Friday: at the minutes 5 and 35 of every hour, starting from 6:35 to 22:35

From Padova to Venice Airport:
Monday to Friday: at the minutes 25 and 55 of every hour, starting from 5:00 to 22:25

The travel can last from 45 to 65 minutes.
Tickets can be bought inside the airport .
The bus arrives at Padova bus station (Piazzale Boschetti).
From there you can use "Radio Taxi" (phone 049-651333) to get to your Hotel in Padova.
Otherwise, on exit from the airport there are several buses to the railway station Mestre-Venezia from where there are direct trains for Padova.
