What is eduroam ?

Eduroam stands for "Education Roaming" and is an initiative of TERENA. The participating institutes can be found at http://www.eduroam.org/.

Howdoes eduroam function ?

Let's suggest you have a meeting planned at the Istituto Gas Ionizzati - Consorzio RFX and your own institution adhere also to Eduroam. While you are there you wish to gain safe access to the internet to be able to read your e-mail messages. In that case, you connect to the wireless eduroam network at hand, using your own Laboratory/Association credentials (e.g.: username@domain) and your password. Then you'll be connected to the Internet.

Availability of eduroam inside of IGI CNR - Consorzio RFX

Eduroam is available on R1 building. In case you are a visitor of Consorzio RFX, you have to use the same credentials (for instance,username@domain and password) that you would use as if you were at your own home institution.
