Ride 4 Fusion

a collaboration between Consorzio RFX and ITER Organization

Consorzio RFX is pleased to announce the LAUNCH OF RIDE 4 FUSION 2024, an incredible mix of itinerant scientific outreach and a bike journey from Padua to Cadarache to promote the future of clean energy harnessing the energy of the sun: fusion energy!

R4F is inspired by the Scholares Vagantes from the University of Padua. The ride will cover more than 800  kilometres, in 10 stages, passing  through the Pianura Padana and Provence, connecting the Neutral Beam Test acility in Padua to  Cadarache, where ITER the first experimental fusion reactor is being realised within an unprecedented global effort.

#Ride4Fusion will start on 10th September 2024, organized in collaboration between ITER Organization and Consorzio RFX and will be accompanied during the journey by researchers, enthusiasts and sponsors that promote and spread fusion science.

In the heart of Padua, amidst the bustling corridors of our research laboratory, there exists a passion that leads to the very essence of scientific exploration: fusion energy.  It’s not just theory, algorithms or data in a computer. It’s about a restless pursuit, a journey toward a sustainable future.

And the core of this endeavor are the individuals, the researchers who dedicate their lives to unraveling the mysteries of fusion.

As our protagonists gear up for their 10-day journey from Padua to Cadarache in France, their commitment to fusion research shines brighter than ever.

Each turn of pedal is fuelled not only by physical strength, but also by a belief in the power of fusion energy. Along the way, they’ll stop with communities, sharing not just the science behind fusion but also the personal stories that drive their passion.
